B2B marketing is a powerful strategy that creates awareness for your company. It focuses more on the needs of businesses and can be even more effective at driving sales and building relationships with prospects. We had the pleasure of having Jason Miller as a guest in one of our podcast episodes where he shared valuable insights and takeaways about creativity and its importance in B2B marketing. Jason Miller has worked at large companies such as Microsoft and LinkedIn but realized he likes it slightly smaller, and he is now Head of Brand and Content at Tyk Technologies. Jason emphasizes that creativity is not only useful in design but also something to strive for when it comes to problem-solving. Furthermore, implementing a focus on creativity in your business can help you stand out and drive more leads. Read the following to take part in Jason's insights.

If you want to thrive in the field of B2B marketing and differentiate, stay creative! Jason's tips for staying creative:

1. Don't let your brand guidelines hold you hostage. arrow 3

When no one knows your brand yet, it's not time to get into the details of what colors go where and what font is best. This also applies to more established companies. Take some risks and experiment!

2. Don't shrug off that you aren't born creative and can't do it -

You certainly can, but you need someone to inspire you. Creativity is a skill that can be developed, practiced, and enhanced. Surveys show that creativity was a few years ago not even on the list of skills employers sought out from their employees; now it's in third place! Encourage creativity in your team to think outside the box and differentiate.

3. Recognize the importance and value of strategy for B2B marketing.

Creativity is no longer arts and music—it's about finding a new approach that others might miss or coming up with an example or inspiration for creating a vision for your company. Get inspired by what others have done before; find an example and push yourself (and your employees) outside of your comfort zone so that you're always doing things differently than everyone else—especially against bigger brands with bigger budgets!
